Collagen type IV is a type of collagen found primarily in the basal lamina. The type IV collagen C4 domain at the C-terminus is not removed in post-translational processing and the fibers link head-to-head rather than in parallel. Also collagen type IV lacks the regular glycine in every third residue necessary for the tight collagen helix. This makes the overall arrangement more sloppy with kinks. These two features cause collagen IV to form in a sheet the form of the basal lamina. There are six human genes associated with collagen IV: COL4A1 COL4A2 COL4A3 COL4A4 COL4A5 and COL4A6.
Coagulation Factor VIII Human, Native Protein is purified from human plasma. The protein contains 2332 amino acids and has a molecular mass of 330 kDa. The protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. FORMULATION: Sterile-filtered white lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. The protein is lyophilized from a 200 IU/ml sterile solution containing 1.5% Glycine, 160 mM Calcium chloride and 25 mM NaCitrate and 25 mM NaCl. BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: 10 Units/mg. VIRAL TESTING: The plasma is collected from donors vaccinated against Hepatitis B. Each unit of plasma has been tested for HBsAg, Anti-HIV-1/2 plus O and Anti-HCV with FDA approved methods. OTHER NAMES: Coagulation factor-VIII, Procoagulant component, Antihemophilic factor, AHF, F8, F8C, F8B, HEMA, FVIII, DXS1253E, F8 protein.
