These capillary tubes are constructed of soda glass. They can easily be sealed using a Bunsen flame. The tubes come in a durable tube holder for added protection. They are ideal for your melting point apparatus. Tube dimensions: 100 mm length, 1.9 mm outer diameter, 1.3 mm inner diameter, and 0.3 mm wall thickness.
Designed for maximum safety and ease of use. Select, measure, and display the temperature digitally, ensuring accuracy and avoiding the need for a glass thermometer. Test two samples simultaneously, viewing the melt via a magnifying lens with built-in illumination. Extend the back feet for the optimal viewing angle.
Set a plateau temperature for initial warm-up — unattended warm-up time frees up the user until the plateau temperature is reached. Heating rate continues at 2°C after the warm-up, slowly reaching the melt temperature for greater accuracy.
Programmable digital melting point apparatus with beginning/ending recording for pharmacopeia requirements offers selectable ramp rates between 0.2C/minute to 10C/minute with a degree setting of 1C/minute. Store up to two sets (beginning and ending temperatures) of three temperatures in temporary memory; batch memory permanently stores up to 500 sets of results. Unit also connects to computer or printer via RS-232 interface.
The Stuart SCF3 Microcentrifuge includes a fixed-angle rotor that accommodates up to 12 tubes with a volume of 1.5- or 2.0-mL. Tube adapters to use 0.2- or 0.5-mL tubes can be ordered, as well as a strip tube rotor to accommodate two 8-place 0.2-mL strip tubes.
