The CEF peptide pool stimulates CD8+ T cells to produce preferentially IFN-γ and is recommended as a positive control in IFN-γ ELISpot and FluoroSpot assays using human PBMC. The CEF peptide pool consists of 23 MHC class I-restricted viral peptides from human CMV, EBV and influenza virus. It has been shown to induce IFN-γ responses in almost 90% of all Caucasians.

A high fidelity restriction endonuclease that recognizes the sequence C^CWWG_G. High Fidelity (HF) Restriction Enzymes have 100% activity in rCutSmart Buffer; single-buffer simplicity means more straightforward and streamlined sample processing. HF enzymes also exhibit dramatically reduced star activity. HF enzymes are all Time-Saver qualified and can therefore cut substrate DNA in 5-15 with the flexibility to digest overnight without degradation to DNA. Engineered with performance in mind, HF restriction enzymes are fully active under a broader range of conditions, minimizing off-target products, while offering flexibility in experimental design. NEB extensively performs quality controls on all standard and high-fidelity (HF) restriction enzymes. The CMV (pp65) Peptide Pool is a lyophilized mixture of 138 peptides from the 65 kDa phosphoprotein (pp65) of human cytomegalovirus (CMV; strain AD169). pp65 has been shown to counteract the induction of interferon response by preventing the activation of interferon response factor 3 (IRF-3). pp65 is also important in inducing transcription of viral immediate-early promoter. The pool consists of 15-mer peptides with 11-amino-acid overlaps that cover amino acids 1 - 561 on pp65.
