Test
Aids in diagnosis of disease caused by Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) hours earlier than many other tests. Rapid, qualitative assay detects and differentiates STEC toxins Stx1 – and Stx2 – directly from fecal samples. Developed and Manufactured by TECHLAB, Inc.
Detects all toxin-producing EHEC strains unlike other methods which are limited to E. coli 0157:H7 detection
Rapid lateral-flow test that detects and differentiates both E. coli Shiga toxin 1 and Shiga toxin 2
The BD MAX™ Enteric Bacterial Panel detects bacteria causing infectious gastroenteritis, including Salmonella spp., Shigella spp./enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC), Campylobacter spp. (jejuni and coli) and Shiga toxin producing organisms (STEC, Shigella dysenteriae).
Rapidly confirm E. coli serogroup O157 from colonies cultured on plated media by latex agglutination.
Reagent-impregnated disk recommended for use in rapid, presumptive identification of Escherichia coli.
Rapidly identify Escherechia coli with ρ-nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranosiduronic acid (PGUA) and indole test with the ready-to-use E. coli screen medium and Kovac’s Indole Reagent.
Rapidly confirm E. coli serogroup O157 from colonies cultured on plated media by latex agglutination.
Thermo Scientific™ Remel BactiCard E. coli is used for presumptive identification of Escherichia coli using enzyme technology.
Used for serological identification of E. coli by slide and/or tube agglutination tests.

Testing can be performed directly on stool samples or on stool culture colonies
By adding the BD MAX™ Extended Enteric Bacterial Panel to your laboratory’s stool testing, over 95% of bacteria causing infectious gastroenteritis can be detected when run in conjunction with BD MAX™ Enteric Bacterial Panel.
The BD MAX™ Enteric Parasite Panel detects three commonly isolated and highly pathogenic parasites that cause gastroenteritis – Giardia lamblia, Cryptosporidium spp. (C. parvum and C. hominis) and Entamoeba histolytica – from one specimen.
Rapidly detect E. coli Shiga Toxin 1 and 2 from human fecal samples.

A sample-to-result, automated, assay that detects Shiga toxin-producing E. coli directly from patient’s stool sample in <2 hours. The assay detects stx1 and stx2, in addition to identifying the hypervirulent serotype O157. Unlike competing tests on the market, this assay does not require an enrichment step.
