Chemical Stability (stable in all common buffers):

  • 1M acetic acid, 8M urea
  • 6M guanidine-HCl, 1% SDS
  • 2M NaCl, 24% ethanol
  • 30% propanol, 30% acetonitrile
  • 0.5M NaOH (for cleaning)
pH Stability
  • 3 to 11 (long-term and working)
  • 2 to 13 (short-term)
Physical Stability:
  • Negligible volume variation due to changes in pH or ionic strength
  • Autoclavability: At 121°C, pH 7 for 30 minutes (gel only)
  • Antimicrobial agent: 20% ethanol
