H-p-Chloro-DL-Phe-OH, 7424-00-2, C9H10ClNO2, Mr 199.64, 25g. H-4-Chloro-DL-Phe-OH, (RS)-2-Amino-3-(4-chloro-phenyl)-propionic acid, Fenclonine, PCPA. Inhibitor of tryptophan 5-monooxygenase.
This fibronectin-binding peptide, derived from the second type I repeat of thrombospondin, is an inhibitor of the fibronectin-mediated interactions of cells with collagen in the extracellular matrix. It is completely conserved in the second type I repeats of mouse and human thrombospondin-1 and thrombospondin-2 from mouse and chickenSEQUENCE: H-Gly-Gly-Trp-Ser-His-Trp-NH2 (trifluoroacetate salt)ONE-LETTER SEQUENCE: GGWSHW-NH2MOLECULAR FORMULA: C35H41N11O7MOLECULAR WEIGHT: 727.79STORAGE CONDITIONS: -20 5 CCAS REGISTRY NUMBER: SYNONYMS: RESEARCH AREA: HematologyREFERENCES:Sipes, J. Indolicidin, H-Ile-Leu-Pro-Trp-Lys-Trp-Pro-Trp-Trp-Pro-Trp-Arg-Arg-NH2, 140896-21-5, C100H132N26O13, Mr 1906.32, 1mg. This cationic, tryptophan-rich peptide was purified from bovine granulocytes. Indolicidin shows potent antimicrobial activity in vitro against bacteria and fungi. It is also highly cytotoxic to T-line cells.
H-Tyr(PO3H2)-OH, 21820-51-9, C9H12NO6P, Mr 261.17, 5g. L-Phosphotyrosine can be used in the detection and quantification of tyrosine phosphorylation in proteins and as starting material in the synthesis of fluorescent substrates for protein tyrosine phosphatase assays. Furthermore, it has been incorporated in cyclic hexapeptides for studying intramolecular quenching of tryptophan fluorescence. L-Phosphotyrosine inhibits cellular growth by activating protein tyrosine phosphatases (Mishra and Hamburger). The phosphorylated amino acid protects TP53 wild-type cells against ionizing radiation.
13-residue peptide amide isolated and characterized from the cytoplasmic granules of bovine neutrophils, having potent antibacterial activity. It is also highly cytotoxic to T-line cells. Furthermore, the primary structure of indolicidin is characterized by 5 tryptophan residues, which is the highest mole percentage of any known protein sequence and is unique among known endogenous antibacterial peptides.
