In a highly concentrated (6 to 8 M) urea solutions, many proteins unfold and separate into their constituent polypeptide chains. Urea UltraPure is also used to denature nucleic acids in sequencing gels. Ultrapure reagents offered by Spectrum undergo rigorous specification testing to insure accurate, repeatable results.
