The convenient edge serves as drying surface for processed slides. The black anodized bath surface reduces eye strain by cutting down on glare while improving visibility of tissue sections. Exterior is white powder-coated aluminum, making it easy to keep clean. Safety features include an amber neon light alerting you when heater is on, as well as automatic shut-off. Order gelatin separately to increase surface tension of water in flotation bath.
