- Generous spacing makes handling easier and prevents vial-to-vial contact
- 14 “V” grooves hold thermometers or volumetric pipets in place to prevent chipping from glass contact and permit quick identification
- Flat areas between grooves are good for labeling
- Depressions provide easy gripping
