Description

Obtain a clean, midstream urine sample to support accurate urinalysis results with innovative and patient centric Peezy Midstream urine collection device.

The Peezy Midstream automatically captures a midstream sample by rejecting first void urine, capturing only the midstream, and when the container is full, rejecting the remainder of the urine stream. Minimal patient intervention and clinical explanation on how to provide a midstream sample are required.

A clean midstream urine sample is the gold standard¹ for urinary tract infection diagnostics. The Peezy Midstream device’s improved collection method helps to reduce potential contaminants from a midstream urine sample to support the reduction of inaccurate or mixed culture results. Accurate diagnosis can facilitate appropriate treatment and may also support improved antibiotic stewardship efforts.

Peezy Midstream is available with an empty sample collection tube R649350) or with a pre-filled preservative (boric acid (0.18g)) (R649351) collection tube for the preservation of urine samples at room temperature.

Collection tubes are 95kPa leakproof with Secure screw cap, leak-tested in accordance with BS EN 14254. Suitable for centrifugation at 3,200 x g.
