Description
Lithium aluminum-tri-tert-butoxyhydride is used as a reducing agent. It is very useful in selective reductions of acyl halides, aldehydes, ketones, and esters, it is also used as an antimicrobial, cholesterol lowering agent, for ion-permeable synthetic membranes.
