Description
Designed for the growth of cells from the Australian Emperor Gum Moth, Antherea eucalypti. One supplemented, widely used for the growth of Spodeptera frugiperda cells, Sf9 and Sf21. Sf9 and Sf21 cells are routinely used to express recombinant protein using the Baculovirus Expression Vector System (BEVS). Life Technologies offers a variety of Gibco Media options for a range of insect cell culture applications. The complete formulation is available.It does not contain lactalbumin hydrolysate or yeastolate, commonly found in the supplemented version. Gibco Grace's Unsupplemented Insect Medium is also made without methionine for protein labeling studies.
