Description

Description

Combine water purification, storage, distribution and control in a single unit. Provide hundreds to thousands of L/day of Type III laboratory grade water from tap.

Key Features

  • Utilize a three-step water treatment process
  • Provide total control of all functions, operating parameters and standard accessory components within the RiOs system itself and within the external pure water distribution loop
  • Do not usually require an external control box

Pretreatment Features

  • Progard™ L pack removes particles (0.5μm filter), free chlorine, and colloids (activated carbon filter) from tap water to protect the system
  • Anti-scaling agent protects the reverse osmosis membrane in hard water areas
  • Bactericidal carbon prevents unwanted bacteria growth
  • Pretreatment packs are tailored to the feedwater source
Advanced Reverse Osmosis (RO) Features
  • Removes 95 to 99% of inorganic ions and 99% of all dissolved organics (MW 200 Daltons), microorganisms and particles
  • Recycles part of the RO reject water back to the RO membrane feedwater stream
  • Allows water recovery to be adjusted up to 70% to optimize water consumption, depending on the feedwater quality and the pretreatment sequence used
  • Maintains constant flowrate from 7 to 30°C
Ultraviolet Sanitization Features
  • Uses a 254nm UV lamp
  • Leads to a log reduction value (LRV) of four in the bacteria count of the water, irrespective of the system's nominal flowrate
System Operation Features
  • After each purification step, relevant parameters are checked by the system
  • Water quality monitoring within the pure water distribution loop (resistivity) can also be checked by the system
  • Resistivity test is designed to meet the requirements of USP (645) suitability test
  • Water quality data is recorded by the system in real time for full traceability
  • Solenoid valve feed: 1/2 NPT
  • RS-232 data port connection

  • Produces water ideal for general rinsing, bacteria-sensitive applications, or as feedwater for humidifiers, autoclaves and washing machines
  • Also suitable as a source of feedwater for Milli-Q™ and Super-Q™ ultrapure water systems
