HYB 094-07-02 detects ovalbumin in chicken samples.
HYB 094-07-02 has been successfully used in ELISA and Western blotting procedures. HYB 094-07-02 reacts with OA in denatured or modified form (surface-adsorbed, heat-denatured or reduced). Strong reaction is seen in ELISA with OA directly coated onto the microtiter well. In dot-blotting HYB 094-07-02 reacts
with native OA adsorbed onto nitrocellulose. In Western blotting (over night) after SDS-PAGE, HYB 094-07-02 reacts with OA in both reduced and non-reduced forms.
The HYB 094-07-02 immunogen is Ovalbumin (OA) isolated from chicken egg white, heat-denatured.
Epitope specificity of HYB 094-07-02 differs from that of HYB 094-05-02 and HYB 094-06-02, as determined by inhibition ELISA.
NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/mL
Ovalbumin (OA), formaldehyde treated and heat denatured by incubation for 1 h at 105°C. OA is isolated from chicken egg white in which it makes up about 60% of solids. Native ovalbumin is a globular monomer of molecular mass ~45 kDa.
