The Thermo Scientific™ VitroEase™ Cryo-EM Training Kit provides a complete solution that includes detailed instructions for the successful preparation of grids for cryo-electron microscopy single particle analysis.
Pure carbon support films with no Formvar backing. This new product has an even thinner carbon film which is mounted on a Lacey carbon film. The carbon support layer lying over the holes is less than 3nm in thickness and is the thinnest support film available. It is particularly useful for high resolution microscopy of low contrast particles and is also ideal for use with the Energy Filtering TEM.
Both sides of the tape have a thick conductive adhesive (conductive inner film is 35µm and the adhesive is 45µm on each side for a total of 125µm [5 mils]) with a white liner. The double adhesive and conductive design permits quick mounting of samples without using liquid or colloidal adhesives. The tape is relatively solid and non-porous and does not absorb small samples. The variety of widths affords efficient application to various specimen mount surface sizes. Thickness is 0.16mm. Available in six widths. Can be used down to -20°C (-4°F) and temperature maximum is 60°C (140°F). Available in 5, 8, 12, 20, 25, and 50mm W x 20m L (0.19, 0.31, 0.47, 0.79, 0.98, and 1.96" x 21.8 yd). Core diameter is 76mm (3"). SEM mounts not included.

Silver flakes in an inorganic silicate aqueous solution, specially formulated adhesive for demanding bonding applications.
Very strong and rugged clear polycarbonate box to store standard pin mounts with 3.2mm (1/8"). This box is watertight, crushproof and dustproof. The strong hinges, locking clasps and soft silicone O-ring seal makes this an ideal transport, shipping and storage box for SEM samples on pin mounts. The holder insert is numbered 1-18 and accommodates all types of pin mounts form 6.4 to 50mm diameter.

EMS Mica Sheets offer a clean surface for EM applications, carbon filming and particle spraying, as well as for AFM applications. There are two types of mica: muscovite and phlogopite. Generally, one differs from the other by color (Muscovite is Ruby, Green or White; Phlogopite is Amber, Yellow, or Silver). The maximum operating temperature for Muscovite is about 500-600 degree C and for Phlogopite is about 800-900 degree C. Our line consists of High Quality Muscovite Mica. This mica peels off very thin up to 0.0001" uniform layers, exposing "virgin" mica upon splitting.
Muscovite, potash type mica, sometimes known as granitic mica, is the best of all micas in dielectric strength, perfection of cleavage, and transparency. It has the chemical formula: H2KAI3(Si04)3. Clear. Hard, of uniform color, nearly flat, free of all stains, foreign inclusion, cracks, and other similar defects.

The PELCO Pro Cyanoacrylate Debonder destabilizes and debonds cured cyanoacrylates. Useful for releasing specimens from holders, cleaning cyanoacrylates from surfaces and removing cured cyanoacylates from fingers. Works on all brands of cyanoacrylate glue (Loctite, Henkel, Permabond, 3M™, PELCO, Aron Alpha, etc.). The debonder is also a solvent, please check before using on plastic surfaces / samples and avoid repeated skin contact. Supplied in 20ml bottle with dispenser tip.

MicroMesh Mounts are the tool of choice for microcrystal crystallography and diffraction experiments, especially at micro-focus beam-lines. They have been use in de novo protein structure determination from crystals as small as 5um.
They are excellent for rods shaped crystals, and are superior to mount with elliptical apertures, because the mesh provides continuous, gentle support for rods of all sizes.
MicroMesh produce the smallest background scatter of any commercial mount. Their sieve-like action allows easy retrieval of sub 30um crystals.
