Visual Read Lateral Flow Tests
Lateral flow test devices (also called dipstick immunoassays or strip tests) are used to detect the presence or absence of a substance and deliver results that do not require a specialized reader or instrument. The use of lateral-flow influenza antigen tests in clinical settings is based on their 10- to 30-minute turnaround times, ease of use, and low cost.
