Thermo Scientific™ Duke Standards™ 2000 Series Uniform Polymer Particles
Analyze wide size range materials through laser diffraction or other methods with uniform polymer particles that mimic real world particles.
Supplier: Thermo Scientific™ 2011A
Description
Analyze wide size range materials through laser diffraction or other methods with Thermo Scientific™ Duke Standards™ 2000 Series Uniform Polymer Particles, NIST™ traceable polystyrene DVB particles with wider size distributions that mimic real world particles and work better on laser diffraction-type instruments. Particles meet the need for NIST traceable size standards that have slightly wider distributions than our monodisperse 3000/4000 series size standards. The wider distribution provides light scatter across a range of detectors, resulting in a more repeatable measurement.
Features:- Material is composed of polystyrene cross-linked with divinylbenzene, giving the particle good durability and chemical stability
- Density of the polymer is 1.05g/cm3 and the index of refraction is 1.59 at 589nm (25°C)
- Particles are packaged as an aqueous suspension in 15mL dropper-tipped vials
- Excellent for use with any application that requires a NIST traceable size standard with a very narrow standard deviation
