DigiMelt is a modern, low cost, digital melting point apparatus designed specifically for the student lab. Students learn the visual detection capillary method of melting point determination without the frustration of trying to control the oven temperature. DigiMelt rapidly heats the oven to the programmed start temperature, then ramps at the specified rate. The student carefully observes the samples and records the melting points with a touch of a button.

OptiMelt Automated Melting Point System, Accurate measurements of melting point and melting range, Automatic and visual determination, Digital movie of each melt, PID-controlled Temperature ramping, Printer output
The MP-250D series digital melting point apparatus allows you to easily view three capillary tube samples simultaneously through the 8x magnifying lens. The adjustable extension arm can be set to different viewing heights making it ideal for multiple users. A rotating viewing head and safety eye piece eliminate glare on the lens and protect you against hot zone. A 13-key membrane keypad offers easy-to-use menus. The conveniently located push button controls allow temperature recording without looking away from the sample. A digital microprocessor with 0.1C resolution provides fast warm-up and accurate temperature control. Units can be calibrated by on site or by the manufacturer/service organization. A calibration kit is required if you choose to calibrate on site.
Melting Point Tubes, Closed One End, 1.5mm-1.8mm O.D. x 0.20mm Wall, Vial of 100, 90mm Length. Similar to CG-1840, but closed at one end. Tube is manufactured from borosilicate glass and packaged 100 tubes per vial. The Code -02 has a smaller I.D. to conform to U.S.P XXI requirements.
Designed for maximum safety and ease of use. Select, measure, and display the temperature digitally, ensuring accuracy and avoiding the need for a glass thermometer. Test two samples simultaneously, viewing the melt via a magnifying lens with built-in illumination. Extend the back feet for the optimal viewing angle.
Set a plateau temperature for initial warm-up — unattended warm-up time frees up the user until the plateau temperature is reached. Heating rate continues at 2°C after the warm-up, slowly reaching the melt temperature for greater accuracy.
Melting Point Apparatus, Digital. This melting point apparatus has been designed with both safety & ease of operation in mind, making it ideal for use in education. The temperature is selected, measured and displayed digitally making it accurate and negating the need for a thermometer. The advanced CG-1839-A-10 has a 0.1 resolution and a variable ramp rate and hold key so that the exact melt temperature can be recorded. Two samples can be tested simultaneously. Adjustable back feet allow the unit to be operated at the optimum viewing angle. Full access to the block aids cleaning. To operate simply select a plateau temperature via the digital display & press "start". The unit quickly heats up and remains at the selected plateau temperature until the user is ready to start the test. Insert the sample tubes and press "start". The unit then heats at a fixed rate of 2C per minute. When the sample is seen to melt, note the temperature on the display. For use with 1.9mm OD tubes.
Accurately determine melting temperature of solid substances.
Mercury-free, easy to program digital melting point device is ideal for testing in undergraduate organic chemistry labs.
