Lyophilized Silk Sericin contains approximately 1 gram of protein (sterile), with a molecular weight ranging from 5-100 kDa with the ability to be easily reconstituted in sterile, RNase/DNase free water at your desired concentration. Our 100% sericin protein, sourced from the domesticated Bombyx Mori silkworm, provides significant benefits for a wide range of applications due to its natural infection resistance, biocompatibility, and coagulation properties. Sericin is a hydrophilic protein composed of various amino acids, including serine, glycine, and alanine, with serine being the predominant amino acid present. Sericin has been shown to demonstrate several biological and pharmacological functions such as anti-aging, wound healing, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, antimicrobial and antifungal activity, biocompatibility and tissue compatibility, drug delivery systems and coagulation and hemostatic properties.
