  • Synthetic blood is dropped onto paper at different heights and angles; the resulting spatter is measured and documented
  • Data is analyzed and a mathematical model is built using Microsoft™ Excel™ or another spreadsheet program
  • Students use blood spatter patterns to determine point of impact by using strings from the spatter to the crime scene walls
  • Class size: six groups of up to five students per group
