Description

Leak-tight design and HEPA inlet and outlet filters make this box suitable for pharmaceutical research, nanotechnology and biochemistry. Also suitable for work with microorganisms, low-level radiochemicals, chemical carcinogens and asbestos, as well as cleanroom applications requiring ISO Class 3 conditions.

• One-piece molded, medium-density polyethylene shell
• Dry powder epoxy-coated steel superstructure and interior shelf of transfer chamber
• Approx. 13 cu. ft. main chamber
• 0.25 in. thick (0.64cm) laminated safety glass viewing window with powder-coated steel frame and neoprene gasket; cut-out is 26.37 x 12.5 in. (67.1 x 31.8cm)
• Upward-pivoting inner and outer transfer chamber doors counterbalanced and equipped with quick-latches
• Black, chemical-resistant phenolic core work surface sealed to glove box floor

Performance

• Dual HEPA filters boast 99.99% efficiency against particulates down to 0.3 microns
• 0.05ppm or lower average tracer gas levels detected during perimeter scan testing surpass ASHRAE™ 110 standards
• Factory testing with mass spectrometer reveals no detectable leaks greater than 1 x 10^-3mL/sec. when tested while glove box is pressurized with helium at 1 in. water gauge
• Vibration is less than 1.5 x 10^-5 inches displacement when measured at work surface at both minimum and maximum airflow volumes
