Vector Laboratories Phaseolus Vulgaris Erythroagglutinin (PHA-E) Biotinylated 2 mg
Supplier: Vector Laboratories B11252
Phaseolus vulgaris agglutinin (PHA) is a family of lectins, each consisting of four subunits. There are two different types of subunits: the "E" subunit (for erythroagglutinin) is involved primarily in red cell agglutination, and the "L" subunit (for leucoagglutinin) is involved in lymphocyte agglutination and mitogenic activity. These subunits combine to produce five isolectins. PHA-E possesses strong hemagglutinating activity. This conjugate features a ratio of biotin to lectin protein that provides optimal avidin/streptavidin and lectin binding activity. Supplied essentially free of unconjugated biotins, it is preserved with sodium azide.
